Well tomorrow is exam day. I'm so nervous, that just thinking about it, gives me the "willies"!
So why am I on the computer? Well I need a break from studying! I think I hurt my brain trying to remember all the math formula's, for appraisal stuff. I still can't figure out why they have some of this stuff for a Broker's exam. Especially, the tax stuff, in the real world, you tell your client to talk to an accountant. It's too risky to calculate it yourself, Realtors are not accountants!
Well back to studying....I write tomorrow at 5pm, it's a 3 hour exam. Then the wait...6 weeks to get it marked! I'll be really proud if I pass, very few do the first time they write the exam. Did you know that BC is one of the most difficult places for the Real Estate course. We have some of the toughest regulations and laws for Real Estate.
Ok back to the books......

Ever had one of those weeks......
when you just can't seem to do or say anything right? Well, for the past little while I seem to have having that problem. I post something on my blog, a person reads it, thinks it's about them, when it's not. So I feel awful. So that's why I changed one of my postings, I really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Sometimes my enthusiasm for my work also gets in the way, and I do or say things I shouldn't and I hurt someones feelings. Really, I am working on this! It's tough to "curb your enthusiasm sometimes".
Hopefully, the person's whose feelings I hurt will see this post and know that I'm not "out to get them". I really do respect that person for all that they have accomplished. I know something about this persons history and all that they have overcome in their life, they should be really proud of their accomplishments. I've told some people that as well. Hope that person doesn't mind, again, my enthusiasm might be running amuck!
So hopefully, things will get better. As I said in the past, I love my work, the people I work with. I don't want that to change, I guess I have to change.

I did it!!!
Well, I did it! I passed my final assignment for my Real Estate Broker's course. For those of you who don't know all the "ins and outs" of real estate, a broker is usually the office manager or owner of a real estate company. Every real estate office in BC must have a broker. A broker is basically responsible for the conduct of all the Realtors in the office and is responsible for the day to day operations of the office including the trust accounts and all usual "office stuff".
So now I have to register for the exam. The next date available is February 14. So now I study!!! The exam is 3 hours long and is in essay form. So a short paragraph or 2 for each questions. From what I understand the exam really does take the whole 3 hours!
So now I have to study, study, study!

Other Stuff!
So, it's beginning to slow down, a wee bit around the office. People are switching into holiday mode. It seems like most people don't buy real estate between the middle of December and January. So us Realtors, start doing mail outs etc. So you might hear from your Realtor shortly! Dean and I are planning stuff for January.
Now for something completely different...
Since I've posted a couple of pictures of "The Bear" I thought it was time for everyone to see the 18 pounds of pure muscle that dominates her! Introducing....Belle the amazing 7 year old Lhasa/Pom/Maltese.

"The Bear"
My "little" Bear is growing up. She's 7 months old now, and pretty much fully grown. So this is what my son does to her! He puts Belle's sweater on her! Belle is out little "all muscle" Lhasa/Pom/Maltese. She weighs 18 pounds (pure muscle), she can take down the Bear! So anyway this picture is "poor little" Bear in Belle's sweater!

Something I won't be doing!
I found this on another blog that I read (www.thedeets.com). It's kind of geeky, but I know the guy that writes it and yes, he is kind of geeky, but in a nice, non-geeky way!
This is something I won't be doing, unless it's on my Harley!!! (Oh yeah, I've done that!! And sold the place too!)
Pedal Powered Real Estate
I bet there’s a market for this in South Minneapolis:
House hunting for the health conscious
A real estate brokerage company in Colorado has branded itself around the idea of using bicycles to tour homes for sale. Pedal To Properties, based in Boulder, was founded in an effort to “combine health and home,” according to the company’s Web site.
Biking is a much better way to get a feel for a neighborhood than driving. A biking agent could surely build a business around hooking up the Minneapolis biking community with homes in bike-friendly neighborhoods.

It must be winter!
It's that time of year again, when I get feeling, BLAH!!! It's seem's like I don't get enough sleep (although I sleep 9 - 10 hrs per night), morning's are tough. I'll be so glad when winter's over. I think I've said that before!
But anyway, I trudge on! I've joined the local gym in town, I've been faithfully working out in the morning Monday to Friday. I'm there for about an hour. I use the treadmill for 25 min, then onto the ladies weight circuit. So, maybe this will help me fight the winter blahs.
Real Estate is still very busy for this time of year. That's a great thing. Dean & I are still doing at least one to two new deals per week. So, it's interesting, and I'm still learning. I've got one more assignment to do for my Broker's licence, then the test!! It always seems like the last one is the toughest to do, but, I'll trudge through that too. It will be worth it in the long run!
Hope I didn't depress you too much with this posting, but, it's how I feel at the moment. I am very fortunate though, I have a fantastic job, a great husband and family, and a great person to work with (The Dean). So that is why I carry on through my most "blah" time of the year!
