Time to Buy!

The weather is heating up, so is Real Estate! Now is the time to buy property. We are definately seeing more "walk ins" in our office. With the hot weather so comes people thinking about buying recreational property. Even some people want to move here to get away from the "big city". So with interest rates so low, now is the time to buy real estate, where ever you are.

My Honda's Home

I got my Accord back yesterday. She had to go into the body shop for some painting. I gots lots of "rock" chips this past winter. Of course, Argo Road Maintenance (highway contractor for our area) doesn't use rocks or gravel when maintaining our roads in the winter time. No, they use "winter abraisive". Well, the winter abraisive sure is tough on the paint of my car! I couldn't believe the number of chips in the paint. I almost had to get the entire car repainted! Now it looks so much better. There's still a few little spots left where I didn't spend money on getting repainted, so I'll have to use my touch up paint.

I definately plan on NOT driving my car this winter. I'll use our beloved 1991 Chev Cavalier this winter or use Randy's truck as needed. Or as I like to say I'll use the humble car!

What a great weekend!

What a kick off to riding season! Well riding season had already begun, but it was our first overnight away during the riding season.

Osoyoos was a great weekend. Randy & I met up with the Norwestars at the Sahara Courtyard Inn. We got to see some friends that we haven't seen for a while. So it was great to visit and laugh again!

Randy and I also toured a couple of winery's this weekend. We went to our favorite first, Tinhorn Creek in Oliver. The view from their winery is awesome!

Then we rode around a bit and found another nice winery, Burrowing Owl Winery. This winery also has a nice restaurant and guest house. The setting is just beautiful, I'd recommend a visit when in Oliver.

Today is going to be a short work day! I'm headed to Osoyoos this weekend to join the Norwestars gathering. It will be great to visit with some people that I haven't seen for a while!
Some people are coming thru Princeton today, so I hope to meet up and have lunch.

I'm so excited about this weekend, it's going to be nice weather, so nice to be riding in the warm weather!

Oh, I also did my first "double ender" sale this week. Yay me! I sold a really cute cabin in Coalmont to a first time buyer. It was really enjoyable working with her, she's so excited. It was a great sale!

RE/MAX International Convention

What a great time! Dave Liniger (Co-Chairman and founder of RE/MAX) spoke at our opening general session. He's a great speaker, he tells it like it is! He encouraged everyone to become a specialist in the foreclosure market. Unfortunately in the States this is happening to far too many people. We in Canada are doing ok, not like the States. But I've encouraged everyone in my office to attend our upcoming educational seminar on Foreclosures. This way our office is trained and ready should the need arise.
I learned a lot at this convention, RE/MAX provides the best training in the industry, I'm really fortunate to be a part of the RE/MAX family.
